Kim Hong (김홍) was born in Seoul in 1986. Since his debut in 2017, he has written both short stories and novels. He majored in political science and international relations in college and briefly worked as a journalist. He had a wide range of other jobs, including sailor, driver for hire, and corporate executive’s assistant. He received the Munhakdongne Novel Award in 2023 for Price King!!! and the Hankyoreh Literary Award in 2025 for Stakes.
