Prof. Dr Freerk Baumann is a sports scientist and self-confessed country bumpkin. He heads the Department of Oncological Exercise Medicine at the University Hospital in Cologne. After his sometimes extremely stressful working days, village life is an oasis of rest, relaxation and deceleration. He comes from an old, highly respected bone-crushing family. His grandmother, grandfather and father used to set the bones of the villagers and their animals.
