Cristò Chiapparino, born in Bari in 1976, represents one of the most distinctive and innovative voices in contemporary Italian narrative.

A writer, musician, and former bookseller, he has pursued an unconventional and highly personal literary path, marked by the ability to move between realistic and surreal dimensions, employing a clear style rich in evocative imagery.

He published the novels ‘Restiamo così quando ve ne andate’ (Terrarossa 2017), ‘La meravigliosa lampada di Paolo Lunare’ (Terrarossa 2019), ‘La carne’ (Neo 2020) ‘Uno su infinito’ (Terrarossa 2021).

He wrote the children’s books ‘L’estate in cui sparirono i cani’ (Giunti 2023) and ‘La più incredibile avventura della pirata Landolfa’ (Giunti 2025).

He lives in Apulia.
