Antonio Ferrara was born in 1957 in Portici (Naples), where he lived until the age of twenty. He is a writer, an illustrator and a trainer. He believes that writing, reading and the world of the illustration contribute to give children the best education showing them how to name and share emotions. He received several awards, including the Andersen Prize in 2012 for Ero cattivo (San Paolo). He was shortlisted in 2018 for the Bancarellino Award for his book Pusher (Einaudi Ragazzi, 2017).
