Waiting for the Sun

An imaginary and poetic recount of the love story of the great poet Emily Dickinson.

1847-48, The Women’s College of Mount Holyoke. Emily has red hair with rebellious locks that continually spring out from under her little cap. Her hair reflects her personality: untamable. Emily doesn’t care about rules, prayers, etiquette. Emily wants to know the depth of the sky, the strength of bumblebees’ wings, the names of all the flowers in the world. And then the most important thing of all, one day it becomes all about him: Nathael, whose skin is the colour of night. Nathael and Emily, both similar and unacceptable.
