Books disappeared from everyday life a long time ago. Videos and babbling avatars are everywhere instead. Finn, Nola, Mira and Tommy have never seen a book before! But when they discover the Buks’ magical library after a storm, they learn about the forgotten power of books and accept the responsibility that comes with it.
Buks are guardian spirits who preserve books that no longer exist in the outside world, but lately a seemingly incurable disease is spreading across their library. Then the Crazy Oracle, which had been silent for years, prophesies that human children will save them.
