A tale in dark colors that recalls the atmosphere of Margaret Atwood’s books.
Ophelia’s life seems straight out of a dark fairy tale: her mother has just died and her father has remarried an evil stepmother who wants her to stop going to school so that she can work. Ophelia tries to rebel, but when she gets in a fight with one of her stepmother’s beloved sons, she is sent to an awful boarding school, populated with other “bad girls” like her, and from which, with each passing day, it seems more and more difficult to escape.
