One dating disaster, one ambitious baseball star, and a fake relationship that refuses to stay pretend.
Maggie Parker’s time is running out. When the clock strikes graduation, she’ll be forced into her cubicle-gray future under the watchful eye and financial thumb of her father. So, she’s trying to squeeze the technicolor life out of her remaining college experience. Except, every time she tries, something goes heinously, disastrously wrong and there’s only one common denominator—her. When one of these embarrassing attempts at a social life becomes public knowledge, Maggie decides to bite the bullet and ask for the help she so desperately needs.
College baseball rising star Elliot Vance needs to land a prestigious internship to tackle his sizable debts. Preferably one at Parker & Klein. He has what it takes, but he wouldn’t mind a little “networking” advantage. Except Elliot has no idea what he’s walked into when he sets his sights on Maggie Parker.
The two strike a deal: practice dates and a taste of ‘normal college life’ in exchange for internship insight, but as they conquer fears and baseball superstitions together, things become more real than either anticipated. As the semester ends and the internship announces their acceptances, Maggie and Elliot will have to make the choice between old dreams and new ones.
