Paul gets the surprise of his life when he discovers what inventor Adam Batomil has hidden away in his lab: a little self-learning robot!
Robot child Roki is as sharp as a tack and learns to speak, walk, tidy up, laugh and even burp in no time at all. Because Roki is a pioneering invention he has to stay a secret and is not allowed to leave Adam’s workshop. But Roki’s robot brain is hungry for anything new and before long the inquisitive little fellow is bored to tears.
When Roki makes off to explore the world Paul does all he can to catch his little robot friend again …
