The room of missing

Oscar has a lump in his throat since Dad is gone. He gets very angry and no longer enjoys playing with his friends. He thinks that Mom doesn’t understand him; but, one day, she shows him a special place: the room of missing.

Children grieve in unique ways, often different from adults. In this story, Oscar goes through a series of emotions—sadness, anger, confusion—and finds a way to manage them by creating a special “place” in his mind to treasure memories.

It includes a parenting reading guide to cope with and overcome loss through love and imagination by Carlota Guillén, educator and teacher in Therapeutic Pedagogy.
