The finish line

Leo is a fifteen-year-old boy and talented football player. He is very full of himself until a motorbike accident confines him to a wheelchair. It all gets too much for Leo, he can’t bear it and starts to lash out at family and friends, pushing them all away. The only one resilient enough to get through the wall he builds around himself is Viola, a lively and vivacious fellow athlete and hurdler. They strike up a friendship and, with Viola’s help, Leo eventually makes a successful return to school and even takes up basketball. He starts building himself a new life, sure in his mind what he wants from it.
