THE KRAKATEK TEAM · MISION #01: THE ICE GLOBETROTTERS
Five children, each one from a different continent, make up the Krakatek Team. They will travel around world in a big ship, the Mola-mola (Latin name for the “ocean sunfish”), with the most sophisticated equipment and in the company of the captain, an English scientist and a German professor, along with the rest of the crew made up of various sailors, the chief engineer, the cooks and so forth.
An enigmatic character, the Greek patron Fassoulas, is the person responsible for the adventures, having sought out five children with special virtues so that they could see at first hand certain problems that affected the planet, such as climate change, overfishing and pollution.
In the course of their adventures the five children are backed by some very special help, in the form of an amulet made of an extraterrestrial substance called Krakatek, from a meteorite that fell down onto the Earth 65 million years ago.
That substance is able to raise the good qualities of each of the children to unsuspected heights.
