Come and meet Jam-Pan, a very peculiar thief authorised by the police to steal (but only when necessary to save lives)!
Jam-Pan is a thief, but not a usual one. He is secretly authorized by the chief police officer to steal whatever he needs, as long as it’s necessary for saving lives.
One day, Jam-Pan receives a phone call from the chief police officer telling him that a military robot secretly invented by the government is out of control and rampaging through a rural village. At the same time, he hears an inner voice—the voice of a little girl running from the robot, crying for help. This is Jam-Pan’s special power; to be able to hear voices of people who are in danger, even from a far distance. Jam-Pan sets out on his jeep to rescue the villagers.
When he arrives at the mountain, armed men try to stop him from approaching the village, but the chief police officer helps him get through. The village is devastated. Jam-Pan sees that the robot is holding a girl in its fist, and hurries to her rescue. Just as the robot raises its hand to slam the girl on the ground, Jam-Pan hears another voice. It was the robot’s voice, begging for help. I don’t want to kill, cries the robot. Don’t make me kill people! Realizing that the robot is also in agony, Jam-Pan rushes to the robot’s feet and embraces it, as if giving it a warm hug. That moment, the robot stops moving and releases the girl. Thank you, Jam-Pan, says the robot, for stealing the killer’s heart inside me. Before leaving the village, the chief police officer asks Jam-Pan what he stole. “I stole the hatred humans instilled in the robot for the purpose of war,” he answers.
