A woman looks back at us from the bathroom mirror in the mornings, who we thought to be younger. At lunchtime we scurry off to the optician to get some reading glasses – which previously only grannies wore. And on the way home the builders don’t wolf whistle us anymore. Getting older is terrible and wonderful at the same time. It just depends on the perspective. You can view it as tragic or comic. Monika Bittl and Silke Neumayer have decided upon humour and combat the little declines with a woman’s best weapon: self-irony and laughing about oneself.
