A toast to friendship with mega-cool, brightly colored illustrations by youth literature prize winner Benjamin Gottwald
Hanky, the little vampire, loves books and tomatoes! He doesn’t like scary creatures. Hanky would much rather avoid them altogether. Unfortunately, he lives with four of them. Hanky thinks his housemates are terrible, eerie, spooky, and horrible. At least, that’s how it is until he gets to know them. Normally, Hänky hides from the witch, the skeleton, the ghost, and the dragon lady. But when he accidentally meets them one day, he quickly realizes that these mega-monster scoundrels are, above all, totally lovable!
Hanky forgets his prejudices! Instead of flying away from them, he opens himself up to them. And so, they all get to know each other and enjoy their time together.
