Amsterdam 4th August 1944. An Austrian low ranking officer belonging to the SS, Karl Josef Silberbauer, prepares for his day with particular precision. He enjoys wearing his uniform and likes to be perfect. That morning he has a mission to complete. At number 263 Prinsengracht, on the other side of a door of the premises of a pectin and spices business, eight Jews, amongst them Anne Frank, are living in hiding. This is the story of their lives, their wait and the courage of an unforgettable heroine and her companions in their secret hiding place.
