The Austrian Crime Prize is a special tribute to crime literature and will be awarded for the sixth time in 2023. This time by Krimifest Kärnten.
Over 100 crime fiction specialists, booksellers, bloggers and journalists voted for Rita Falk. The award is given to authors whose crime novels are particularly convincing in terms of content and literature and underline the cultural and social relevance of the genre, as well as initiating trend-setting new developments within the genre.
Rita Falk is known for her series of crime novels set in the provinces: she has been publishing them for ten years, has sold more than 5.5 milion copies and they have been adapted for television.
