The Italian edition of Gehen, Ging, Gegangen (Knaus): Voce del verbo andare (Sellerio, 2016) has been awarded prestigious Premio Strega Europeo 2017.
Erpenbeck received the prize in July in Rome in a ceremony where also her Italian translator Ada Vigliani was awarded.
