We are extremely proud that Bernardo Atxaga just received prestigious National Book Award 2019 (Premio Nacional de las Letras 2019)
The jury has selected Atxaga “because he has essentially contributed to modernization and interantional impact of the Basque and the Spanish languages, through a narrative imbued by poetry, in which he combines brilliantly reality and fiction.”
“Etxeak eta Hilobiak ” his last novel, has just been released in Basque by Editorial Pamiela.
Next February Alguara will launch the Spanish edition.
