Norbert Scheuer was born in 1951 and works as a computer programmer. He has received a number of prizes for his novels: Flussabwärts (2002), Der Steinesammler (2010), and most recently Peehs Liebe (2012).
In addition to these works C.H. Beck has published his collection of short stories Kall, Eifel (2006) and a volume of poetry, Bis ich dies alles liebte (2011).
His novel Überm Rauschen (2009) was shortlisted for the German Book Prize and was chosen as Cologne’s Book of the Year for 2010.
Among his awards are the Georg K. Glaser Prize (2006), the d.lit-Prize for Literature and the Rhineland Prize for Literature (both 2010).
He lives in the Eifel region of Germany.
