Moshtari Hilal

Moshtari Hilal is an artist, curator, and author living in Hamburg. She studied Islamic Studies in Hamburg, Berlin, and London, specializing in gender and decolonial studies, and is a co-founder of the collective Afghan Visual Arts and History as well as the research project Curating Through Conflict with Care. Her most recent book published by Hanser is “Ugliness” (2023).
