Marco Dazzani

Marco Dazzani is an Italian writer specialized in children’s and young adult literature. Originally from the province of Bologna, he has followed a varied educational path: after graduating with a degree in Sports Science in 2008, he decided to devote himself to creative writing, attending institutions such as Bottega Finzioni and the Scuola Holden. He is currently enrolled on the degree course in Arts, Music and Performing Arts (DAMS) at the University of Bologna.
Throughout his career, Dazzani has published over twenty novels and short stories for young people, collaborating with various publishing houses, including MIMebù and Buk Buk Editore. Among his best-known works are “La Scuola delle Etichette”, “I Pensatori e l’armata zombie” and “Paura dei mostri?”. In addition to writing, he is actively involved in promoting reading, organising school visits and participating in cultural projects. Since 2021, he has served as vice-president of the Italian Association of Children’s Writers (ICWA), helping to organise conferences and collaborating with other associations in the sector.
His professional experience also extends to other fields: he has been a poet, musician and athlete, with a background in weightlifting. This diversity of experience enriches his writing, characterised by irony and wit, as he tackles current issues in a way that engages young readers.
