Lola Mayenco is a writer and a journalist specialized in anthropology, and, between books and articles, she cooks recipes collected during her travels around the world. An unredeemed lover of cultural diversity, nothing gives her more pleasure than preparing a new dish.
Born in Barcelona, she was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by people who enjoyed cooking. Her mother’s family ran a wood-fired bakery; her father’s family, a bar with homemade tapas, so she knew from a very young age the different nuances of hunger and the power of gastronomy to transform lives.
She currently lives on the banks of the Thames and spends her summers under the Mediterranean sun.
