Klaus Nüchtern was born in Linz (Austria) in 1961.
He studied German and English literature in Vienna. He used to be the editor-in-chief of the feature section of „Falter“ magazine, where he still publishes critical reviews and columns.
In 2011, he received the Austrian National Prize for Literary Criticism. His last published book was entitled Buster Keaton oder die Liebe zur Geometrie (Buster Keaton or the Love of Geometry, 2012)
