Jens J. Kramer

Jens J. Kramer, born in 1957, studied ethnology and journalism in Berlin. In 1999, he made his debut with a historical novel about colonial Africa (Die Stadt unter den Steinen), which was followed by two others (Das Delta, Der zerrissene Schleier). As Jo Kramer he wrote romantic comedies, as Mike Schulz crime comedies and together with his wife, the bestselling author Nina George, he is Jean Bagnol, the creator of the Provençal investigator “Commissaire Mazan”. His most recent publication was Johannas Rache, Droemer, 2020. Kramer is a member of the German PEN Center and has been chairman of SYNDIKAT e.V. since 2017.
