Javier González-Calero describes himself as a voracious reader since childhood and adolescence, who over the years has become a fierce poet. He has traveled extensively throughout numerous countries—Madagascar, Cambodia, Laos, Ecuador, Chile—always with books as his guiding light. In his early days, he accompanied the Bubisher, the mobile library that travels through the Sahrawi refugee camps. As a writer, he has received the 2020 El Príncipe Preguntón Prize, the 2022 Lazarillo Prize for Literary Creation and the Internacional City of Orihuela Award.
