Irene Di Liberto was born in Palermo and raised in Casteltermini, a village in the Sicilian hinterland. She currently lives in Corciano, Umbria. An author of poetry and children’s books, she is an honorary member and Italian Ambassador for the Academy of Sicilian Language and Culture. In 2024, she was nominated for the Strega Poetry Prize for her collection Post Poesia, and she has won several national literary awards.
