Valentina Fast was born in 1989 in Kazakhstan and moved to Germany with her family when she was still a young girl.
Inspired by her widely read mother, she devoured countless books as a child until, as a teenager, she dared to try writing herself. When one of her horror stories even made it into a teen magazine, her passion for writing was sparked. From that point on, Valentina’s love for creativity and her overflow of crazy ideas would only rest once she put her thoughts down on paper.
With her debut series ROYAL, she succeeded in winning readers’ hearts in the romantasy genre. Shortly afterward, she found her home at ONE with the SECRET ACADEMY duology, and since then she has continued to captivate her fans with fantastic worlds that make everyday life fade away. Valentina’s stories are filled with unpredictable plot twists, deep and charming characters, and a light, lyrical writing style. She writes with heart and soul and is now at home in both fantasy and romance.
When she’s not writing or working at her office job, she maintains active contact with her readers and works on more exciting projects. For some time now, she has been recording her podcast The Book Hangover — Three Authors. Three Voices. One Podcast. together with two fellow authors, offering insights into her writing life.
She now lives with her husband and two children in the beautiful Münsterland region.
