Torsten Woywod was born in 1981, and worked as a bookseller and in online marketing before taking over as marketing director at the publishing house DuMont Buchverlag in 2021.
He received the Young Excellence Award in 2015 for his commitment to the world of books. His most recent venture is the publishing house WOYWOD & MEURER, founded together with his partner. Their debut publication, ‘Leonard and Paul’, was a SPIEGEL bestseller and nominated for the Independent Bookshops’ Favourite Book Award.
‘Mathilde and Marie’ is his debut novel.
