Prof. Dr. Maike Luhmann , born in 1981, is a Professor of Psychological Methodology at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and has made a name for herself with numerous publications on the topic of loneliness.
Previously, she researched and taught at the University of Cologne, the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of Chicago, and the Free University of Berlin.
As part of the Competence Network on Loneliness, she advises the German Government on its strategy to combat loneliness.
She lives in Bochum.
