Maddalena Vaglio Tanet was born in Biella in 1985. She studied literature at the University of Pisa, the Scuola Normale and Columbia University and now works as a literary scout. But she not only loves reading words, she also uses them to write books and poems. With Il cavolo di Troia e altri miti sbagliati (Rizzoli, 2020) she was a finalist for the Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi, and with Casa Musica (Raum Italic, 2022) she won the Premio Orbil. Tornare dal bosco (Marsilio, 2023) was translated into many languages and was also shortlisted for the Premio Strega 2023.
Her new middle grade novel is Rim e le parole liberate (Rizzoli, 2024).
