Gina Mayer (b. 1965) spent a year in Naples after high school, then did a degree in graphic design in Trier and Düsseldorf, and later worked as a copywriter in advertising. She started writing after the birth of her two children, and has since then published dozens of books for children, teenagers and adults. Her titles have been bestsellers and been translated into numerous languages. She now lives in Düsseldorf with her husband.
Her Middle Grade Series Wilderland has sold over 40,000 copies in Germany and has been sold in the Netherlands.
