David Vajda

David Vajda was born in Munich in 1989 and studied philosophy and political science in London and Cambridge.

He has written freelance journalism for, among others, the Guardian, the Financial Times Magazine and Reportagen, and has published short stories in Edit and DUMMY.

His first feature film, which he co-directed with his brother, premiered at the 71st Berlinale Film Festival. He was awarded a Work Stipend for German Literature by the Berlin Senate for his debut novel «Diamanten».

David Vajda now works as a freelance author and director, and divides his time between Berlin and Vienna.
