Bettina Schöne-Seifert

Bettina Schöne-Seifert is a physician and philosopher. From 2003 to 2023, she held the Chair of Medical Ethics at the University of Münster. She was a founding member of the National Ethics Council, established in 2001, as well as of its successor, the German Ethics Council. From the perspective of a liberal ethics and a science-oriented approach to medicine, she has repeatedly participated in current public debates.
