Andreas Winkelmann , born in 1968, is a born storyteller. Even as a schoolboy, he wrote his first novels in math notebooks. From there to becoming a bestselling author, he has led a colorful and eventful professional life. He has worked as a baker, soldier, fitness instructor, taxi driver, insurance salesman, and in a honey factory.
Whether it’s gripping thrillers, adventure non-fiction, novels, or cozy crime stories: writing is his passion. He is equally passionate about traveling the world—on foot, by bicycle, or in a camper van. He is therefore familiar with life in the wilderness and at campsites. He believes that it is precisely there that one can observe quirky, curious, warm-hearted, eccentric, or peculiar people, and that there is hardly any other place where the all-too-human and unexpected depths are so concentrated.
