The finalists for the Leipzig Book Fair Award 2025 have just been announced and we have two books represented by the agency: one in each category.
‘Wackelkontakt’ by Wolf Haas (Hanser) is the book of the moment. With more than 130,000 copies sold and sales to 12 territories, it is nominated in the national fiction book category.
‘Die Evolution der Gewalt’ by Harald Meller, Kai Michel and Carel van Schaik (dtv) has been shortlisted in the national non-fiction category. Who could have imagined only a few years ago that war would once again become a central threat to our world? What drives people to kill other people? To find out, we need to investigate the evolutionary roots of violence and aggression and reconstruct its proliferation throughout human history.
The winners will be revealed at the end of March during the Fair.
