At the end of April, the writer Luis Noriega was in Colombia at the invitation of the Bogota Recounted program (Bogotá Contada), and the Bogota Book Fair.
The Bogota Recounted platform is an initiative of the District Institute of Arts (Idarts) through which writers from different countries visit the city, take part in activities in public libraries to promote reading, and share their experience in creative writing workshops, bookshops, and centres of advanced education.
Although Noriega is based in Spain, his works are closely linked to the Colombian capital, and he recently published Reasons not to trust your neighbours, a short story collection.
His visit coincided with the Bogota Book Fair, where he participated in a discussion about “Portraying the city”, together with the writers Alberto Barrera Tyszka and Antonio García.
