Ulrike Guérot studied political science, history and philosophy in Bonn, Münster and Paris. She is a professor, author and activist in the fields of Europe and democracy, with posts in think tanks and at universities in Paris, Brussels, London, Washington, Berlin and Vienna. In 2014, she founded the European Democracy Lab, e.V., a think tank for rethinking Europe. In 2016, her book “Why Europe Should Become a Republic! A Political Utopia” became a bestseller across Europe. Since autumn 2021, Ulrike Guérot has been Professor of European Policy at the Rheinische-Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn and Co-Director of the Centre Ernst Robert Curtius (CERC).
