Pep Molist (Manlleu, 1965) is a librarian and has always worked in children’s areas of several public libraries. He likes to read literature for children and young people; to recommend it, as a librarian and as a critic – he collaborates in El País and has directed, together with Joan Portell, the magazine Atril, specialized in children’s and young people’s literature; and also to write.
In 2003, he won the Rovelló Prize for essays on children’s and young people’s literature with the work Els llibres tranquils: el curs de la vida a través de la literatura infantil (The quiet books: the course of life through children’s literature, ed. Labrador, 2004). As for children’s literature, he currently has more than 80 published works, most of them aimed at children from three to seven years old.
