Thomas Bollen is a financial economist and an investigative journalist. After a short career as a corporate consultant, he turned to investigative journalism with a mission: making the world of big money understandable for ordinary people. He writes for Follow the Money about financial malpractice, economic dogmas — and their alternatives. While writing Plenty of Money, but Not for You he collaborated with artist Carlijn Kingma. Their multidisciplinary project to visualise the international financial system won multiple journalistic and art prizes and starred as the Dutch representation at the Venice Biënnale of 2023.
