Que Du Luu was born in 1973 in Saigon (Vietnam). With chinese origins, she had to flee together with millions of people right after the Vietnam War. Her family opened in Bielefeld, Germany, a chinese restaurant.
She has been awarded many times with prizes like Adelbert-von-Chamisso-Förderpreis or the Hohenemser Literaturpreis.
