Nils Mohl

Nils Mohl is a freelance writer and screenwriter who lives in his native city of Hamburg and owns a caravan on a North Sea island. He has received numerous awards for his work, most recently the Austrian Children’s and Youth Book Prize, the Josef Guggenmos Prize for Children’s Poetry and the bronze Lola at the German Film Awards. He previously received the German Youth Literature Award in 2012 for his novel ›Es war einmal Indianerland‹ (Once Upon a Time in Indian Country), which was later made into a film. In 2024, he will receive the James Krüss Award for International Children’s and Youth Literature for his work.
