Kornelia Wald, born in 1981 near Osnabrück, worked for seven years after graduating from university in Bremen as a teacher of German, English, and philosophy. In 2016, she moved to Tel Aviv, where she taught German as a foreign language and collaborated remotely with her former student Houssein Kahin on their novel project. Since October 2023, she has lived back in Germany with her family.
