Ilaria Palleschi was born in 1989 in Latina. After high school she attended the IED, where she studied Illustration and Animation. She trained as an illustrator, but always had a dream of making comics. A dream she realised thanks to BAO Publishing in November 2018, when her first graphic novel was published: Nina che disagio. She later worked with Mondadori as a freelance illustrator, curating among other things the illustrations and comics for I Casi Impossibili di Zoe & Lu, the young adult series by writer Licia Troisi. One of her short comics was published in volume I of the Encyclopaedia Treccani for Children in 2020. As an illustrator, she collaborates with various Italian publishers and holds courses on comics and storytelling at schools. In 2023, she published Conforme, also for Bao Publishing, and held her first TedTalk, talking about the comics profession3.
In 2025 she published Buster (Tunuè), a biopic on the life of Buster Keaton, written by Andrea Fontana. In his spare time he tries not to let his beloved plants die and takes long walks with his dog Bresaola.
