Eva Mejuto is a Doctor in Journalism from the University of Santiago de Compostela and worked in publishing houses and the Pontevedra International Children’s and Youth Book Fair.
Her specialty is children’s and youth literature. She is the author of several adaptations of traditional stories for picture books, translated to more than ten languages.
In 2017 she began a new journey in the field of youth literature with the work 22 seconds, addressing the subject of a young trans woman.
Eva Mejuto was a finalist for the Jules Verne Prize for Youth Literature (Premio Jules Verne de Literatura Xuvenil). In 2020 she was the winner of the Matilde Bares contest, Tales for Equality (certame Matilde Bares, relatos pola igualdade). She is a finalist for the Premio Hache 2021 and Recommended by the 2021 Premio Fundación.
