Barbara Honigmann

Barbara Honigmann was born in 1949 in East Berlin, where her parents had returned from exile. At present, she lives in Strasbourg in France. She was a dramatist and theatre director, and has been a full-time writer and artist since 1975. Her work has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Kleist Prize in 2000.
