Angelo Ruta was born in Ragusa in 1967. He lives in Milan, where he attended the Course in Scenography at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, the Advanced Course in Illustration and Comics at the Sforza Castle and the Professional Training Course for Film and Television Techniques. He has published his works with major Italian and English publishers. He has made films and theatrical performances. He regularly publishes in the cultural insert of the «Corriere della Sera» La Lettura . He alternates his work as an illustrator with that of screenwriter and director. For Edizioni EL / Einaudi Ragazzi he has illustrated several books such as Romeo and Juliet , The Mystery of the Orange Peel , Greek Myths for the Little Ones , Argo’s Odyssey and many titles for the series « Grandissimi », « Che storia! » and « Le più belle storie illustrata ».
