GIANRICO CAROFIGLIO WINS RADIO BREMEN'S 2008 THRILLER PRIZE
The coveted 2008 Crime Novel prize awarded by Bremen Radio has gone to the Italian writer Gianrico Carofiglio. The jury singled out Carofiglio for his gift for plumbing the murky depths of the Italian court system. His crime novels set out to reinforce a sense of justice being a state responsibility, portraying the customs of contemporary Italy as well as antiprototypes.
