The agency
Our story
The work of our agency has focused from the outset on two lines of work: providing consultancy services and arranging international licences for authors and their works on the one hand, and on the other representing foreign publishers, agencies and packagers in Spain, Portugal, Spanish America and Brazil.
Traditionally, our strong points have always been Italian and German books in particular, though other parts of the world and their literatures also feature in our catalogue nowadays: the USA, the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia among others.
We cover a wide range of genres: from serious literature to light reading; from children's books to philosophy; from practical books to poetry; from business books to religion; from biographies to comics - whatever the genre, the works and their authors receive all the attention they deserve.
Our agency was founded in September 1984 by Ute Körner (1939-2008), who then had over 20 years' experience in publishing and agency work.
In 1986 the agency was joined by Guenter G. Rodewald, contributing his experience as a bookseller, his considerable organisational gifts and his forward-looking vision.
Then in February 2000 came Sandra Rodericks, who quickly made herself indispensable in our agency, which she now runs together with Guenter G. Rodewald.
Raquel Riu has been contributing her long experience as a publisher-turned-agent since 2007.
Rosa Cuesta has been dealing with the task of coordinating and supporting the work of the agents since 2005.
Cristina Serra, Íñigo Cebollada and Carla Vidal are the trio that form the indefatigable administrative team.
The company took the commercial-law form of a private limited company ('Sociedad Limitada') on 1 January 2000.

Ute Körner died suddenly in the middle of her work in October 2008.
Our agency would not be here today if it had not been for the great courage, inexhaustible strength, eternal optimism and exemplary clear-sightedness of its founder.
She taught us the wonderful profession of the literary agent and passed on her values to us. Her spirit and her example will always remain in our daily work and go on living through it.
We thank Ute for everything.
