Who doesn’t remember how it feels to have forgotten one’s homework? The teacher rants and raves – although it’s not the little girl’s fault! After all, the dog ate it (cross my heart!), but only because granny hasn’t fed him.
But it’s not her fault either, because Dad didn’t buy dog food…because Mum didn’t write a shopping list…because…One excuse follows the next and in the end there’s only one at fault: the teacher!
